I have been searching for information on what medical dr's are approved for having your medical/immunizations done in Canada. I will be attending at the Vancouver Consultate when my time eventuallllllllly comes.......but I LIVE in the Vancouver area, so would my own Dr. be able to do this medical? And, if so, does the Consultate send a 'required list' of things the Dr. is to check for?? Or, is this just a standard medical ? I have found the immunization list...so I have that. Would appreciate any information or tips anyone would have on this...thank you, 'hangin in there in White Rock'

You can get your own doctor or the health department to give you any vaccinations you are missing which will be cheaper than getting them done at the Civil Surgeon's office, but everything else needs to be done there. Bring your vaccination records with you and ask for a copy of the vaccination worksheet from the immigration medical form - you will need it when you get to the US and apply for your green card ( adjust status).

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
