Should i update my SSN now that i have my EAD?

Hi there,

I had my EAD a month ago and i'm still searching for a job..some employers asked for the snn during application my concern is having ssn with restrictions,do i have to update my SSN since i already have EAD?

The restrictions remain on the ssc card until you receive your greencard. When you receive your greencard you can then get the restrictions removed off your ssc.

Even with restriction on your SSN, I dont think it would make any diff.

Once the employeer(HR) looks at your EAD or GC card they should be aware you are allowed to work.

Coz the statement on your SSN says not allowed to work without authorization, your EAD or GC is your authorization to work.... so enjoy and good luck :)
