Good Morning fellow VJ Family,

I filed an I-130 petition for my Step Son living in Vietnam. The case was approved by USCIS and forwarded to the NVC. Paid all fees at NVC, filed the Agent form and I-864EZ. Got a response for checklist and missing DS-230. At that time we were waiting for a few documents from Vietnam. We received them and mailed the DS-230 to NVC. NVC stated they received the checklist on June 22 and they needed 6 to 8 weeks to review. I called this morning and to a great suprise I got the following message:

This case was completed on August 5th. Please allow 8 weeks for further Instruction.

I would assume they are saying it has been approved?

Could anyone please advise me on what is going to happen next? For looking at peoples timelines it seems people are getting the interview about 1 1/2 months after approval. When will we be notified of interview date and what method of notification? Also, when should my son get his medical? He lives in Hanoi and would need to fly to Saigon for the medical and interview. My wife fley there 1 month prior to interview and stayed there.

Thanks for any advice you can supply.

Mike
