A Quick Question Re: My Case Status

Hi VJers

Hope you are all well

Just a very quick question regarding the 'my case status' section of the USCIS web site, I would be extremly grateful if any members could shed light on my query.

Like you all I have been checking my case staus for months hoping to see the news I long for, I received NOA 1's for my I-130 and I-129f applications on the 8th and 14th of April 2010 repectively.

At the weekend whilst checking for updates on both applications my wife noticed that once she had entered our receipt numbers and clicked the check status button that some of the circles that identify the key stages in the process had dissappeared, (namely the RFE and RFE Review circles) and were now left with the Acceptance, Initial Review, Decision and Post Decision activity. As you will all be aware this is a significantly less amount of stages than usual and I was wondering if anyone had a similar experiece and if this indicates any form of progress.

Look forward to hearing from you.....

Hi Smithers

After reading your post I took a look at my case status and realised the same thing. Like you, I filed my I130 in April. I'm not sure what this means, but I'm liking the fact that RFE isn't on there anymore! Hopefully some other VJers have some answers for us...

There was some 'upgrade' to the status site recently .. Sorry.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

the site says "Specific Adjudication Process Steps by Form Type on My Case Status: When customers check their case status online, the process steps they see will now be specific to the petition or application they submitted. Until recently, the website listed seven identical process steps for all forms, even though not all the steps applied to all the forms. With the new feature, process steps are customized for more than 40 form types."

ours did this too: showed "updated" with no changes except the disappearance of RFEs but i am a bit confused if that means we've passed thru and RFE will not be needed....?

maybe i am just overly tired and stressed reading all these forums :crying:

if you gave your info (receipt #s, full name, etc) to anyone on VJ under the guise that they would "help" you through the immigration journey with his inside contacts (like his sister at USCIS) ... please contact OLUInquiries@dhs.gov, and go to http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact to report anything suspicious. Contact your congressman and senator's offices as well.
