Do people generally get Requests for more info?

Do alot of people get a request for more information after they sent in there i-130 or do most people in general make it past that?

We got an RFE, but when we got ours, we were certainly in the minority

I don't know of any numbers of how many do and how many don't get RFE's. I did not get one. What it usually pretty much comes down to is how well you prepare your package. Take you time, prepare a well organized detailed package, then check, double check and triple check everything before you send it in. Just do the best that you can and pray for the best.
