Good Morning, Would be grateful if someone could give me some insight on my question. I just picked up my visa yesterday from the Frankfurt Counuslate, and even though I have been married 2 years and 7 months, I have been issued a CR-1 visa? I have been ready a lot of posts on this site and read that if married more then 2 years I should have been issued a IR-1. Does this mean at my POE I my green card will be for 2years not the 10 years I thought I would be receiving. By the time I enter the US sometime in Jan ( I work in afghanistan US ARMY) I will be coming up to my 3rd wedding Anniversary, should I mention this to the immigration officer?

Would be grateful for any advice.

Thank you in advance!!!!

You should contact the consulate BEFORE you leave to correct the mistake. You may try and leave it to the POE, but if the visa issued was a CR-1 then you will likely be given a 2 year conditional green card.

Correct the mistake at the consulate

Good luck
