Hello All,

I just received my biometrics letter, and I just wanted to double confirm something. I already have a previous A# number from my OPT days. But when I received the NOA1 and the Bio appointment there is a totally different A# in it. Also, nothing is filled out in the social security number section, even though I have one and I sent it to them.

Also, anybody have any luck with walk-ins in Phoenix, I read about 1 couple doing it and they were successful.

Thank you all kindly,

Robert

Hi Rob

here is a cut and paste from my previous posting about Phoenix.

5. Did a walk at Phoenix the following morning, which was a Wednesday, and I understand, Wednesdays are good for walkins at Phoenix, cant remember where I read that, but it stuck with me. Thats why I selected a Tuesday for the Infopass so I could go the next day if all went well.

6. Walk in at Phoenix - get there early, queue outside about 8am. When they let you in, the guy will say, your appointment is not for today, cant see you ! can you not come on the appointment date? I replied that I maybe out of town, and it would be difficult to get there as arranged, I then smiled and said, hey, listen, I was actually in town today, and thought maybe you could squeeze me in etc...etc....etc. He let me go through. Give it a go.

7. BIG TIP - As they let you all in they hand you a form to complete, when complete you hand the form back at the second desk, and then that determines your place in the bio taking queue, not where you were in the queue outside. So, therefore, complete that form swiftly and hand it in. I was about 10th in the Queue outside, but ended up being seen first as a lot of people were struggling with the form. There was nothing unsual on the form, except have your MSC numbers to hand and know your weight and hieght etc. Just be swift with it. Everyone around me was having discussions whether they were 190 or 200lbs. or were their eyes as shade of green or hazel .... or whatever.

hpe this helps ...... you may want to check my interview review I have in Phoenix as well, this may help if you do indeed have to go to an interview.

My #A number is different on OPT and AOS too. I guess they just give a different number for AOS? Anyway I just got approved yesterday so don't think the number matters at all - don't worry. ;)

Personally I would just go on the scheduled date for biometrics. I went for mine on the scheduled date, which is 2-3 weeks later than some people who did walk-ins (we filed at about the same time). We received our interview letters at about the same time too, so I don't think walking in early made any difference at all in the processing time.

Thank you Andymac and Meijie your responses are greatly appreciated. I'm about to leave to go try the walk-in. Seeing as it will take me about an hour and a half to get there on Phoenix public transportation, it will be a good day :)
