what is the wait time in Islamabad Consulate for IV appointment these days? I just submitted all of the civil documents with DS 230 with NVC for my wife and 3 children.......anyone knows????

According to the forums, IV visa interview is coming pretty quickly. I guess in 2-3 months. Where did u heard of 2 years wait time for

I-824? DO you know some one who was in this process?

approximately 2 years

Disagree. NVC processing finished. The wait time you are trying to refer to is at USCIS, not NVC.

I got my green card in 2009 and my Catagory is Eb2(current for Pakistan). I applied for my wife I-824 (Follow to join) and our case completed with NVC in June 2010. Any one has idea how long we have to wait for the interview to be scheduled at Islamabad Embassy?

You should really contact NVC via telephone, get a Human and inquire about this. You are in special category, not too many of that type here on VJ - is different queue at NVC, as well.

I Talked to NVC couple of times already and they read the same script " Due to the limited capacity of islamabad embassy we cannot schedule for next month.....". I am trying to find some one with similiar case. This could help me to figure out approximate time.

then you might get in 'regular scheduling' cycle -

which is the 2nd week of each month, for the following month.

maybe you'll have some luck.

visa type unimportant, if NVC has completed the casefile.

After going through many posts on different websites, I have figure out that while scheduling interview, NVC does give preference to

- US citizens cases

- LPR cases

- Family based cases in Employment catagerios like mine.

Finally I got interview date from NVC on Sep 10th. Best of luck for all in their cases.
