I would start collecting your police certificates ASAP. I was shocked at how quickly our NOA2 was approved and now been told that Australian Police checks can take about a month if you are applying from abroad (I live in the UK). It might also help to make sure your vaccinations are also up to date too!

Goodluck to you :)

You can also download the paperwork for your Packet 3 from your embassy/consulate website. This will save you time as you can fill them out in advance.

To fill them out you'll need to put together a CV/Resume, or at least a timeline of where you've lived and worked for the past 5 to 10 years. For some, that takes some thinking and digging for addresses and supervisors' names, etc.

As KC said, be sure to make a visit to your GP and have your shots updated, and see if they can give you the MMR and Tdap shots, and if you haven't had chicken pox, the Varicella as well. It's much cheaper to get them before you get to the official medical exam, because the official examiners will charge you a small fortune for them.

If you've got your police certificate and birth certificate, and any divorce decrees, etc. that will need to be translated, it's a good idea to get that done ASAP.

Talk to your fiance and make sure they're putting together the documentation for her I-134, and arranging for a co-sponsor if necessary. The I-134 has to be an ORIGINAL, so she'll need time to send it to you, along with copies of the documentation, and any divorce decrees, proof of relationship, updated letter of intent to marry, etc.

Hope this helps! Good luck!!

I found this on the website of the US embassy in Argentina:

http://argentina.usembassy.gov/consular-pdfs/k1-k3-instruction-package.pdf

it basically lists everything that you will need to do after NOA2 and before the interview. we've started working on it. but, unfortunately for us our wait is turning out to be quite long (it's been 93 days since we filed and still nothing, not even a touch!) Good luck!

April 23 2010 -- I-129f sent

April 27 2010 -- check cashed, NOA1 dated

Aug 2, 2010 -- touched

Aug 13, 2010 -- date of NOA2, I-129F approved

Aug 17, 2010 -- NVC sent application to embassy

Sept 2, 2010 -- Medical

Sept 7, 2010 -- Receive checklist from embassy

Sept 7, 2010 -- Hand-deliver packet to embassy

Sept 30, 2010 -- Receive notice of interview date

Oct. 4, 2010 -- Interview!

I agree with everyone, try and get all other documents gathered, but I would check with the embassy and see how long the police reports are valid for. It would be a shame to have it done, and when you interview comes around its no longer valid. I read somewhere that they are valid for a year, however I emailed our embassy to confirm and was told they will only accept them if it was issued within 3 months prior to the interview. Good luck!!
