SO I am now at the stage in which I have to send the Affidavit of Support! I don't work whatsoever, as my husband supports me, so naturally I need a co-sponsor. My sister will co-sponsor my husband. My questions are:

She does not live in the same state as I do, is that a problem???

How much does she have to make to sponsor him??

What does she have to claim as her household size(she is single with no children)???

THANK YOU!!!!

Where your sister lives does not matter. She just needs to be a US citizen or Green Card Holder.

If your husband's (the intending immigrant) income will continue when he moves to the US then he can self sponsor. If not, then you will complete an I-864 as the primary sponsor (regardless of income). Your sister will complete an I-864 for herself including all the required documents. Her household size will be her, your husband, and any other dependents that she may have. Refer to the I-864P link labeled (2009 USCIS Poverty Guidelines) in my signature below to see the income requirements. The 2009 guidelines still apply.
