I already have my green card and I still have a valid employment authorization card which will expire next year. My question is, do I still have to renew the employment authorization card since there is a expiration date? What should I do? ( note: I am currently employed)

Since you have a GC, EAD is not even used any more and no need to renew it. Moving your topic to working and traveling before GC as it is not related to US citizenship.

Your GC is your employment authorization card now. You are a resident of this country so you are eligible to work. Showing a GC to your employer is enough.

You shouldn't use your EAD card anymore...
