I agree with much of what he said.. but he fell short on details of the fines or any punishment for illegal presence... I like the idea of them all going to the back of the line and his comment on those of us doing things the right way having to suffer as a result of a failed process.

"Every one of us bears within himself the possibilty of all passions, all destinies of life in all its forms. Nothing human is foreign to us" - Edward G. Robinson.

But the most important thing is that the illegal immigrants are already in this country!! Our loved ones can't get past the airport in their home country!! Legal US citizens are suffering while the illegals are here and have a multitude of lawyers and politicians and cities (San Fran) that will protect them. We pay for their law breaking. So an illegal immigrant has to learn english La Ti F*****g Da. Has Obama ever been to chinatown? There's plenty of legal residents who don't speak english. Let me guess we need to hire some additional teachers at tax payer expense to teach them english. His speech meant nil. Just more of his BS. He tells all the consulates to deny causing problems so we will support his reforms when he makes the problem to begin with. I saw the other day on headline news ticker that he is proposing higher greencard fees. See the more we get turned down the more we have to file giving the gov't money for their coffers which is a TAX (money paid to gov't is a tax) If you refile, the legwork has already been done so what do they spend $455 on? I say we picket outside US consulate in Saigon on an agreed upon date, let them arrest us, get it on camera and send it to the news. We need to bring attention to our problem nationally to get anything done. Funny how med students get their visas quickly and nuclear engineers who go to work for the US gov't get their visas quick but not us. It is beyond me what they have to gain by continually telling us to wait, Wait for what?

From my own 'personal perspective', my own 'opinion', not the opinion of anyone else in our household ......I have highlighted or made bold what I feel are facts & true. Illegals are here, they were 'allowed' to come here without proper documentation, according to the laws of this country. They were allowed to cross borders, although a misdemeanor, yet still allowed to cross. Their country does not have laws or an agreement apparently with the USA to NOT allow them to leave their own country, unless they have legal documents .... like all other countries. And, taxpayers (you and I) in this country are footing the bill. Paying for their welfare, food stamps, medical etc. When we are already stretched paying for millions of others who are citizens, that aren't willing to work ...and do nothing more than play the system & give birth to children like an assembly line, most of which don't even know who the father is ...or cares, cause the gov will take care of them (correction: the taxpayer). And those crossing the border illegally are using/abusing the same system as well.

Federal, State & Local governments are at fault here. If you look around, you will see sanctuary cities everywhere, which are breaking the immigration laws of this country. From the top to the local business man ..they too are breaking the immigration laws. Although a misdemeanor to come here illegally, it becomes a felony to 'Aid, Transport & Abed' (sp) anyone who comes here without proper documentation/illegally.

Amnesty has been given before by a few in the office, it didn't work then, and won't work now.

And, although fees may increase for us that do this 'legally', we wouldn't allow that to keep us from our loved ones overseas or already here. Time (the waiting) wouldn't keep us from our loved ones either.

This site has, to my knowledge, has every legal PDF file/form from the gov, that states clearly what is expected, what is legal, what is the correct procedure in bringing someone here legally and fees involved .....and, strangely, all of this contradicts the way this administration, and many others are behaving. I believe, anyone should be allowed to come here LEGALLY. Jump through the hoops like everyone here going through these various processes at VisaJourney.

How can you document millions, when you don't know where half of them are? Its about VOTES! Welcome to America :D
