psycho exam

my wife had her medical exam on monday, she had her physical, xrays, blood test, and was told to come back the next day for the rest of her shots and pick up her records and be done. She went to the counter and was told that she needed to fill out a psychological exam form for a psychological interview. what could have brought this on. she has never took any drugs or anything. Could this hurt our visa process? what does this mean? is it bad? We are very worried about this because they scheduled her psycholocial interview 2 days before her interview. please help us out thank you.

there is nothing to worry about, i had the same experience in st. lukes, they found some scars on my wrist, i told the psychiatrist what happened, the interview was like just 5 mins, if he is satisfied with your answer he will let you call for the result after 2 days.

usually they do the psyche thing for annulment or scars on the wrist. I had my interview last Monday and the Consul did not mention anything about it. Good luck and God Bless

They do it if there is a history of self harm, depression, anxiety etc. The Psycho exam is pretty straight forward so I wouldn't worry about it to much if the issues aren't recent, it will just be a formality.

So this brings up an interesting question. My wife has a history of depression (even being hospitalized) has done much better over the past few years and has even come off the anti-depressants successfully about 6 months ago (of which I am so proud of her). Our plan was to have her talk to her doctor and get a note that essentially says shes fine. Will we still get a psyche exam? I hope not, as I hear it gets expensive!

Even after getting a note from her GP saying all is well? She hasn't really seen anyone else (they determined she wasn't bad enough to see a therapist/psychiatrist). So if she does have to get a psyche eval, as well as a medical can it all be done at the same time? Or is this gonna grow into a huge hassle? Not that shes not worth it of course. Its just scary thinking it might be even longer. Another question entirely, I'm guessing they as about it in the medical right?

The psych exam took only 5 minutes and it cost 1000php and it took 3 days for the results and they re-scheduled our interview for the following week since the psych results weren't going to be ready til after her interview. She went to her interview today and they did not ask her anything about it it was like never existed. Lol

Gonna ask this to clarify.

No therapist?

So you think my complete lack of one for some 9 years is not going to be an issue, you know despite some serious mental health issues (ones that have no cure?)

Basically we were told, this is it, no cure, nothing you can do, no meds help really you've been on a wild goose chase for 26 years.

9 years later I've done exactly that. No help, no nothing, it doesn't work. Certainly not what the NHS provide.

This does not look suss? They will not be suspicious that I have no references?

Heck I don;'t even see my Gp bar basic health checkups.

I forgot another bloody one! A huge freaking tumour under my breast. A huge freaking benign tumour. I'll get hassled over that, won't I?

Get it removed on NHS beforehand yes/no?

Benine is fine you should not get hassled for this as it is not something that is going to cause a drain on us resources.

As for not seeing a therapist no I dont think it will look suss, just explain this all at your medical. When is your medical by the way?
