Affadavit Samples?

We are just starting the process to remove the conditions from my husbands green card, and I want to make sure we have everything possible!

We have a child, so we will send his birth certificate. We own a house together, have joint taxes, bank account, and Charles Schwab accounts. We have plenty of pictures. We have a credit card together as well. I think all of our utilities are in my name, unfortunately, since he was unable to sign up for them when we moved over from England. I want to include 2 to 3 affadavits but don't know what they should say, and saw that there some samples on here but can't find them! Any help? Oh, and lots of pictures.

Thanks so much!

Don't forget income tax returns. Don't need a lot of photos....a half-dozen would do. As to affidavits, two will suffice.

They are on blank paper and say "I have known XXXX for 00 years as a friend. In 2007 he married XXXX from (country). I have been places with both of them together, and can verify based on personal experience that they are husband and wife. Sincerely, typed name and signature, date"

Thank you! One more question - do I need to send in our marriage certificate? I sent it off with my passport to get renewed and name changed and will have to get another one if I do.

OldDominion is correct - tax returns are very important. You can either request transcripts from IRS (which are free) or make photocopies of your returns, all pages including W2s.

Your list looks good.

It is, however, recommended that you do disclose the information about utilities in the cover letter. You can simply explain why he is not on the bills but you can emphasis the ownership of the house.

Pictures are good, and it will be very nice if they are organized. For example, when we sent in ours, we printed 4 pictures on plain 8.5x11 paper for each event through the past 2 years and we ended up including roughly 20 pages with captions and a description under each picture.

good luck!

It wouldn't hurt to have an extra certified marriage certificate laying around in the house...not for this submission, though
