Tokyo Lovers,

I just looked at your timeline (USCIS Journey), and I noticed that you went from NOA1 to NOA2 without mentioning the I-129F. Is the I-129F no longer needed, or was it included with the I-130? I am asking because my wife and I received our NOA1 on May 6th, and we were told to await further notice/instructions. We have an immigration attorney, but dealing with the people in his office has been a little difficult.

Thanks!

I only submitted I-130 and the documents that you send with the petition.

i never got a request for I-129 or anything like that.

honestly i do not even know what that form is!!

did you get a regular NOA1 without an RFE? if you did not get an RFE, then you just wait for NOA2....

The I-129F is filed after the NOA-1 on an I-130 petition, to set up a K-3 visa.

K-3 visas are mostly 'dead' these days, is little hope of getting one through the pipe at NVC.

Thank you both for your responses. Our attorney informed me that the I-130 and I-129F were filed at the same time. What is strange is that I do not recall filling out or signing the I-129F. The only thing that I have received since the filing is the I-797C (NOA). The notice date is May 6, 2010. Haven't received anything since.
