Ok, so i am getting ready for my interview. The letter from NVC states that they have received all the documents from me and my husband (he is the US citizen), everything i sent them is checked in that letter as received, they have originals and absolutely everything they needed ( lucky us we had no RFES's) . Anywho , i understand that it is better to be safe than sorry, and i should gather all the documents once again, forms, papers, etc from me and hubby and take them with me at the interview. My husband is supposed to send me copies of everything he sent from his part, affidavit of support and such; here is my question: can he send me scanned forms that he filled in, and copies of all the other papers he sent to NVC thrue email and i just print them out?? Or, does he need to send me those papers, with original signature thrue normal mail? Thank you

Anything that he his original with signatures are forms that USCIS, NVC already has. Like I-130, I-864, etc. What he has now are copies. I don't see why you can't make copies of copies via scanning, emailing, and printing. You should take two copies of everything with you as everyone recommends. It's better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them. If you have sufficient time to send everything through the mail, send it through the mail. Scanning ‘n’ printing deteriorates the quality of the pictures of the forms.

Salut

I called the embassy/consulate about this. Like the previous post says, all US government forms, like I-864, need to be original.

Then, if the checklist they gave you says original, use original. Like, police certificate and birth certificates.

Otherwise, the consulate told me 'photocopies are fine' for everything else.

My fiancee can never get through on the phone to the consulate. Have you called them? They always anser for me (USC),

but never for her when calling from Romania.
