I know many BACs who don't subscribe to this at all. In fact, not one of them does...Perhaps its a regional thing

same here...and I know hundreds and hundreds(possibly thousands) of "born again" Christians (still not sure how that term became a weird thing, it just means a Christian! Jesus said "you must be born again", not a weird philosophy, it just means accepting Him in your life to change you and give you a new start). For a lot of them, both parents have to work to pay the bills, and there are many women who have a much higher paid career than their husbands. I am a housewife because I want to be, and we are blessed that we can live on Sujeet's income alone. But still I am not a very good house cleaner. I cook good though!! I have worked though and Sujeet would never oppose to me working.

Same with us. Though I do think it's better for the woman to stay home with the children, if possible.
