Hello everyone sorry this is the first moment Ive had to get to a computer, we did our interview on wed. last week, unlike I thought the lady asked me to sit in the waiting room, so she could question Ahmed alone. She did talk to me for a little bit maybe 3 min. He did ok,but did stumble on the dates I was there, I have been there 7 times what do they expect. So when she was finished she called me back to the window and said this. He will not be able to come home with you in the next week we have to send his papers back to the state dept. for further review? She kept his passport and gave us a white paper with a website and number to check on our case? What does anyone make of this? I will post more I just came back from Hurghada and am very tired. So im guessing the AP and she kept the passport but didnt say welcome to the usa and you will get your visa in 2 weeks, she said your husband did great we just have to do some more checking and it can take 2 weeks to 2 months. I wish i would of brought the white paper with me today. but I know it has a website and our tracking number. I also have the dhl reciept. The interview was as most have described here. Wish everyone a good day, its 215pm in Alexandria now. Take care

Hopefully it is just a name check....and it will pass quickly. We have all been worried about you, glad to hear from you. I know it is frustrating but things will work out and hopefully soon. Enjoy your time with Ahmed and may he be able to follow you soon to the US. We are waiting for out interview date. I think they know everyone is a little nervous for the interview.

Sandra! I am so glad to hear from you! We have definitely been wondering!

Wow~I'm kind of suprised that they made you sit in the waiting room for them to question Ahmed separately. No telling why they did this. As far as the date getting mixed up, I would think somebody who had the dates exact would be under more scrutiny because of being "rehearsed".

Also, at least she was honest about him not being able to come home with you next week, and that they were sending his case back to the US and how long it may take. It definitely sounds like a name check. I can imagine how disappointing though.sad.gif Plus it is good that you received the website with the case number to check on your case. AND keeping his passport. I just wonder him finishing his military tour might have something to do with it? Who knows but it definitely sounds promising since she gave you more information to what to expect than what they normally give people they put into AP/AR.

I hope you are having a good time with hubby anyways and don't let this spoil your visit! Have fun and enjoy yourself!!!

~Andrea

I have been looking for you too! It seems everything went ok. It is strange they would not let you stand with him during the interview. I was beside Hamdi the whole time. I am sure everything is good! From the day of our interview to when he received his visa was 39 days. Hamdi had to send in his passport later they did not keep it at the interview, so that is a wonderful thing!! You will be together forever soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Sandra, I'm sure your enjoying your time with Ahmed. Sounds like a disappointment not to hear them say congrats and welcome, but I'm sure you just have to wait 2weeks to 2 months more. I'm also sure this wait time for you will go by so quickly. Keep the positive attitude, it sounds like they will give it to you, probably because he was in the military they want to do a name check again. Everything has been done on your part and now you just got to wait for them to do their job. Relax and enjoy your vacation with Ahmed.

Congratulations !!!!!!!!!!!!!! it really sounds promesing .And they kept his passport and its very good sign .It means its not going to take long time .

I hope that he will be outta AP soon and he will get his visa in no time .

You both are in my prayers .

Nothing's impossible . Nothing's unreachable .When I am weary you make me stronger

This love is beautiful .So unforgettable . I feel no winter cold when we are together .

Will you stand by me ?!!!Hold on and never let me go .

Will you stand by me?!! With you i know i belong . When the story gets told .

When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

This love wont fade away. And through the hardest days . I will never question us .You are the reason my only reason.

I'm blessed to find what i need in a world loosing hope. you are my only believe .

You make things right every time after time.....

Will you stand by me ?!!!

I love you so much and i miss you so much more .
