I'm wanting to spend some time with my man in the U.S. but i would like to have some health care coverage during my visit as i have a preexisting condition with my arm and needs continuous treatment. Can a Canadian purchase U.S. health insurance or do i have to find something in my own country? Can anyone help me on this ??

You can't buy "normal" health insurance, as this is reserved for legal residents of the country, and it sounds like you will only be visiting? There is specific health insurance for visitors, but pre-existing conditions may bean issue.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

If it is a stable condition and you have not been hospitalized for it in the last 60-90 days BlueCross will insure you IF your Dr. will fill out a health questionaire and states that as of "this" date you are in stable health. This will go to BlueCross for review and if approved they will cover your pre-existing condition. Just not sure what the cost is, but it's worth looking into.

Why isn't anyone directing this person to "international health insurance"??

There are only 84 million Google pages about it?

I used this to cover my wife from day ONE in the US and it worked out peachy keen.
