hey everyone :)

first of, i'm pretty sure you've answered this million times, and i spent the past one hour in looking for the answer, but it turned out it's not that easy to find it. so anyway, here's my question:

i'm US Citizen through naturalization, and filing for my fioncee.

completing I-129f, i'm not sure if i have to put the CTS Registration number (the one from my Certificate of Naturalization) in Question 8b. A# (if any), or should i just write None, as it's shown on the example, provided from VJ?

Also the same for G-325A - File Number (from petitioner).

Thanks in advance for your responses :)

Peace

tnx for both of you, for the fast response :)

SLDFK, i assume you were naturalized also? i mean you do have the CTS Reg Number on your Certificate, and you still didn't write it? Is that correct?

Question 8B is an anomaly. Why it's even there is a mystery to me, since only a US citizen can file an I-129F. I suppose you could put the A# you had before you became a citizen, but I would think "N/A" would be the appropriate answer, since you had an A# at one time but it's no longer relevant. Provide your certificate of naturalization number in question 10.

The G-325A is a general purpose form, used by US citizens, LPR's, and aliens. Put "United States" in the box labeled "Citizenship/Nationality". Again, if you want you can provide the A# you had before in the box labeled "File Number", but I would still think "N/A" would be the appropriate answer.

Unless you provide a bogus alien number in either of the boxes on those two forms, I seriously doubt you'll get an RFE based on what you write in those boxes.

FWIW, a friend of mine who is a naturalized citizen put "N/A" in both of those boxes. So far, no RFE...

tnank you so much for the complete answer, Jim.

That's what i was wondering myself and had doubts. If i put the A number, i'm supposed to send a copy of my Green Card, which i already don't have. To be honest, i was surprised they even put A number on the certificate, but well..

Thanks anyway :)

My parents were naturalized and I acquired citizenship through my parents. I have a "certificate of citizenship". This certificate does not have a CTS Reg number but a "application no". This number starts with "A" followed by 8 digits (A12 345 678), which I assume was my A# prior to citizenship. I did not use this number in any of my forms.
