I-485 questions

I have entered US with K-1 visa, married within 90 days and I am in a process of filling forms for Adjustment of Status. Couple of questions about I-765 form (Application for Employment Authorization):

field no.15 Current Immigration Status - I presume it's still K-1 visa?

field no.16 Eligibility Categories - jezzz it's complicated.... I think that I fall under (a)(15)(K) category. Does that sound right?

2. You meant Part 2 (application type); if yes, you check "A"

If I remember correctly it should be C 9 for AOS from K1.

K1 for 15 is OK

but 16 I put C9

Also check out the example formslisted at the top of the site here, there are several forms for AOS that help.

You will ONLY check box "A" at part 2 on your I 485

If you want to apply for I 765 the category will be C 9 (where it asks you about the category line 16)

One more question if I may: Biographic Information G-325A form asks (at the top of the page) for File Number is it the same A number as in original K-1 visa and I94 form? If so, I have problem... my a A number there is 2 digits-3 digits-3 digits and the form expects 2 digits-3 digits-2 digits. Your help will be greatly appreciated!
