I am aware of the technology. You however seem to be completely discounting the determination of the illegal immigrants. You put up a wall, they will find a way around it. You close that gap, they will find another. Until there is no reason for them to come here, they will continue to take that gamble.

The UK has many problems but their sense of decency is intact and that's worth all the SUV's in the world.

Dude, does it not say something that a country of 22 million that is 100 years old has a GDP the same as Mexico with 110 million.

Furthermore, Mexico is not exactly renowned for it's immigration. In fact, countless studies illustrate you treat them like ####### and actually class them as second class citizens.

Normally I would not repeat myself but this is worth the clarification. First off, similar to your epic failure on Drugs, no one approach will work; you need a multifaceted approach.

What does Australia do you ask?

• Cannot use any government service period
  
• Cannot enroll your kid into a government school
  
• Cannot open a bank account or any other service period - business becomes liable.
  
• Canceled citizenship by birth and require at least one parent be a citizen to quality.
  
• Can raid a business or store at any time. Heck I saw a guy on their border protection show be arrested for simply being in a restaurant during a raid, acting nervous and then being questioned - deported.
  
• Must show full ID - like a passport - during employment.
  

And they pretty much have a non-existent illegal alien problem. Had they been faced with Americas issue, their system of government and Constitution is dynamic and would be changed accordingly to tackle the problem head-on.
