Heyy everyone

i have a question:

sooo i know the hole fee is going up from 131$ to 350$ ... My interview is This wednesday...

but heres the deal i actually never got a letter telling me the fee went up.. the only way i hurd about it was from this site..

SO my question is arent they suppose to send a letter letting me know the proce went up? how else im i suppose to know??

because lets say i wasnt on this site.. how else would i know ?

AS WELL... the 12x15 envelope that ill need to bring ... is a 318mmx241mm ok? or is that the same thing? the guy at the post office had no idea what a 12x15 is... so i got a lil confused ... and now im not sure ! :bonk:

They didn't mail out letter about the fee increase.

2005---We met by friend/Church member that was living in Nigeria

2006---We begin to talk about getting married

2007---I was going to met him face to face, but hurt my back couldn't walk..

2009---Was able to see each for the first time.. I got my engagement ring (WOW).. :wow:

2010-01-22 mailed I129f

2010-01-26 got NOA1

2010-05-12 called to see why no NOA2, I was told that our case is not being processed yet!!!!! No notes in the computer

other then the mailing of the NOA1!!!!!!! :angry:

2010-05-18 called SERVICE CENTER again to see what's going on with our case.. NOT BEING PROCESSED YET I WAS TOLD AGAIN!!!

2010-06-16 Got notice that NOA2 was approved 141 days after NOA1. We got our approval on Ossy's Birthday.. Happy birthday honey, I love you!!!!

2010-06-21 got NOA2 in hand

2010-06-22 called NVC to see if papers was there, but was told that my DOB was not right in the system. Just mailed a letter along with a copy of my birth certificate asking to change my DOB.. Way to go VCS..

2010-06-22 NVC received the case

2010-06-23 Case sent to Embassy in Barbados

2010-06-28 Embassy received our case

2010-08-09 Interview Administrative Review

2010-11-15 Approved for Visa (I was on the mission to make sure the INTERVIEWER that we had never interviewed anyone else and I did it).. Know that you have right and don't let the interviewer cross the line..

2010-12-10 Visa and Passport in hand!!! Thank God!!!

2010-12-19 Ossy will enter the States!!

in the case of Bogota, the embassy has called the beneficiaries informing that they must pay the total US$350 or the difference if you have already paid the $131. Also the new value is in the K Visa appointment package

We can all make a difference. Please recycle

So like how are people suppose to know ?? Not everyone is on this website! :unsure:

Hey Starshine. Ok it might be different from Vancouver to Montreal but I received a letter informing me of the new fee and that I was to bring the letter with me to the consulate along with my interview letter. I would contact the Montreal consulate by email or phone I am not sure which is better for you guys and ask them about it!

I would contact the Montreal consulate by email or phone I am not sure which is better for you guys and ask them about it!

Well sadly my Interview Letter is sealed in with my medical results apparently! i never received my letter back and when i called the medical place they told me it was in the envelope :bonk: why i have no idea!!!

ill bring enough money to cover whatever but still .. would be nice of montreal to either call or send something to people! ah well!

Oh that is odd but then again from what I have Montreal and Vancouver do things very differently. I am sure they wouldn't have done that if it wasn't the norm. Maybe go on the Canadian forum and ask the Montreal folks!

I know I man like you said most people have found out from this site although on every consulate web page it does have the fee increase posted on it somewhere. I guess people just have to be on their toes and you should be happy that you are lucky to know ahead of time like the rest of us VJers! :thumbs:
