Dear All,

I filled out, stapled photos, signed and submitted my fiancee's DS-156 along with the I-129f package last year, assuming she will just have to bring a printed, bar-coded copy of DS-156 with her to the interview. Now we have an interview at Moscow consulate coming up and the list of requested documents states "fill out and bring" DS-156, without any mention of simply bringing a printed copy of the one previously submitted online. Any advice?

You CANNOT sign the DS-156 for your fiancee... it is HER application and not yours..

this is a consulate process question, moving to consulate forum

Petitioner will do the filling and filled out application and send I129F and the whole package to USCS

DS-156 is your fiancee's application and will bring on the day of the interview w/ picture stapled on it.

the question was whether we need to fill out ANOTHER DS-156 for the interview if we already filled one out and submitted it with 129f package?

1) You CANNOT fill it out nor sign it....

2) It is not to be submitted with the I-129F

3) THEREFORE, she will need to fill it out and bring to the interview

SHE filled it out 6 months ago online. i thought that a unique number is assigned to it. now she needs to bring it to the interview and some of the information on it is slightly out of date. does she fill out another online DS-156 or does it confuse the system if there are two DS-156's?

Before you said "I", now you say "she"..... If you included it with the I-129F you do not even know if the USCIS kept it in the file or threw it away.... If she still has the copy of the one from before then have her bring it with all the other docs required by the Embassy... If it were me I would still have her fill out a new one....

YMMV
