YOu can count me in as well.

This is just preposterous. As usual the colored person is always shafted in the end. Other people from other countries are not going through these ordeals. I know that yes, Ghanaians are the cause of these stringent attitudes. However, a few bad apples should not ruin it for those of us with legitimate cases. The toll this takes, psychologically, the stress on relationships is unbearable. It is as if they are determined to break up families rather than unite them. Or this could be a polite case of saying go back to your countries if you do not like how we are dealing with you. Aluta continua...

I agree totally with u on the delay at the consulate in Accra. I was there on 3 occasions. After my first interview i was told to come back after 3 months cos of AP. Then i go back after 2 months and i was told to get additional evidence, most of which i presented in my first interview, n the annoying part is that they could have told me to bring them on the 2nd interview, all they said was AP. I went for the 3rd interview, n luckily was denied and asked to file a waiver which i did, n its been over 3 months now and no response from them.

On my visits to the embassy i saw on different occasions when a bunch of peeple's interview were rescheduled cos a consular was absent and had to leave Ghana for the US on emergency notice, which suppose that the stuff is inadequate( in my opinion). I im totally for the facebook course and call me in...I think we can call the page US Embassy(Accra) Delay in Immigrant Visa Interviews....Hope to hear from you n let me know when u come up with a new name and when u open the facebook account.

My lawyer is going to put in a request for an investigation on that Embassy because what they are doing is not only unethical but also inhumane. If everyone had there lawyers do that9but not till their loved ones are here) then they will have to stop the policies they have now. My husband was approved for his Visa almost 10 weeks ago and they have still not called him to come pick it up. His medicals run out in December. It could be that they want to be able to use that as an excuse to charge another $400. We have the support of a Senator's office too but they don't seem to care.

Wow! Reading through this forum makes me think that there is a lot of injustice going on! I'm a firm believer in all the principles and morals (equality, civil liberties, justice, etc) that America was founded on. That is one of the reason I choose to join the military... to fight for what our country stands for... But it seems more and more these days as if those foundations and rights of the American citizens are being challenged everyday. Although I have not yet obtained my interview date, I would like to join this group because I just believe in fighting for what is right. Please consider me another supporter of this campaign.
