Hi, My wife is schedule for medical on June 18, 2010 at toronto. While making an appointment the person told her to get the vaccination done by her family doctor. As my wife does not have any vaccination record. She was landed immigrant in 2005. She submitted the vaccination reccord to Canadian embassy but she never kept the record. Her family doctor is asking for a letter or form kind of that which vaccination is she getting.

Now the question are:

1. Is there any way to get her vaccination record through canadian immigration?

2. from where she will get a form/letter telling showing which vaccination actually she needed?

Also, do any knows if Embassy give visa same day at Montreal? I want to buy the air tickets and not sure if I should wait and buy after her visa issue. what you guys suggest?

You may be able to get vaccination records through public health if this was recorded....

Also you can go to a physician (walk in clinic) and ask for a titre blood test to check for various antibodies to vaccinations. This may help, but I'm unsure if you can do/get titre's for all vaccinations....

Hope this helps!

(On a side note I'm trying to remember if its titre or titer haha)

1. I do not know, sorry, but as Wishing mentioned, you can get a titer test to find what immunities your wife has.

2. Check the requirements here (this is from Dr. Seiden's site).

Question - you are listed as AOS (pending). Are you really a CR-1?

Edited to add -

Some people get lucky and they can pick up their visas same day, from what I have seen in VJ this is quite rare. Others will be in a better position to give you info on how long it may take you to receive your visa after the interview presuming there is nothing additional requested.

We checke the blood test but that does not cover all and takes about 3 to 4 weeks for result. Also, what you guyz think I should buy a ticket. You know this is summer and tickets are getting really expensive If i buy now it will take $75 change fee.

which hotel is at walking distance from embassy?? any good/reasonable price one please

hmm you think if we print this web page and take with us her family doctor will accept it?

From where we can get pictures done at Brampton?

I would hope her family doctor can interpret it. And re: the photos - I had a bunch done at Black's, probably not the cheapest option, but they know what they are doing and they aren't too expensive. Mine weren't for a medical, though, they were for the initial I-130 application.

Yeah, the Titre test is labwork, almost zero walk-in clinics will be able to process that, the results can take 2-4 weeks, you might get the results, you might not. Its really up to you, if she gets in tomorrow to get the bloodwork done for titre tests, you MIGHT get it before the medical. You can call Dr. Seiden's office and ask, but I THINK what happens if you dont have the titre results is that they will hold off on issuing the medical results until you send in the results of the labwork for titres to show she is vaccinated against everything listed.

Another option is to ask her family doctor to give her vaccinations against what is listed on Dr. Seiden's site, this is faster, and you will have proof in hand immediately that she is innoculated, BUT, some of the vaccinations will not be covered with OHIP and she will be charged a fee. I have no Idea what the costs are though.

Where are you planning to buy tickets from and to? And what date?

Do you mean for the interview in Montreal? From where are you flying? just you? both? Or are you buying tickets to go to the US after the Visa is issued?

My Husband had the titer test here in Calgary. He went to a walk in clinic and got the paperwork, took it to the lab, took around 10 days to get the results.

I would suggest you do get the titer test and then, as supportgeek said, if they are not back in time you can always send them to them when they arrive.

It is not a good idea to have all those vaccinations that you probably don't need - don't you think?

You will probably need a tetanus booster if you haven't had one in the last 10 years. They will take a verbal confirmation if you have had chicken pox.
