I do sometimes get the calf cramps, come to think of it. No back aches, though...yet! I only started being able to detect my baby's movement quite recently (I have an anterior placenta, so that makes it harder to feel), so I'm still in the phase of being excited when I can feel a kick.

My husband is in San Francisco.

You're welcome! Except for the 1-minute excruciating cramp on my calves when I wake up and the occasional back aches, I'm doing wonderful! Baby is a kicker though, lol. How's your pregnancy coming along?

BTW, where is your hubby from?

Apparently, the calf cramps is due to low calcium and magnesium. My midwife advised me to take supplements just before bedtime. I find it reduces the occurences by 50%...an improvement, I guess.

San Fran! That is far enough for visiting. :( I feel your pain--My hubby was originally from Chicago and due to the distance and cost, we were only able to visit each other about once every three months or so. Ever since we got married two years ago, he moved to Seattle to be near me.

Yeah, I knew about the calcium and mag...and I definitely don't want to get low calcium: the baby will leach it out of our bones if it has to!

I moved (back) to Vancouver to be closer to my husband. I was on the east coast last year! So, I can definitely relate.
