We just got our NOA2.

With regards to sending my fiancee original documentation. How do I go about it if it's mostly or all electronic. For example my flight tickets were e-tickets. Also, my paystubs are sent to me in e-mail because I have direct deposite. I've already sent these with our original I-129F package. If I provide them again to her, will they be considered "originals"?

Also, I never used a birth certificate when submitting the I-129F package. Instead, I submitted photocopies of my passport as that can be used in place of a birth certificate. What do I send to my fiancee? My original passport, copies of passport, or do I now need to apply for a copy of the birth certificate to send to her?

DO NOT send your ORIGINAL Passport. The Embassy is entitled to ask for originals of any documents that were provided for the I-129F.

If you do not have anything in an original form such as boarding passes, copies from your passport, pay stubs, you need to make it clear to your fiancee. You need to giver her a list of what you only had submitted in copied form and she needs to understand just in case they ask for it at GUZ.

Separately, the Consulate typically wants to see the Birth Certificate, Divorce Decrees etc of the USC. You need to check what GUZ wants in Packet 3 or GUZ's equivalent of Packet 3.

Also: There is a member here by the name of Darnell, maybe try to PM him and ask your question about the Birth Certificate if you do not see the Packet 3 for GUZ online.

Packet 3 and 4 here - http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/forms_and_packets.htm

You'll need to send her:

1. I-134 with 3 years of tax/income data.

2. certified copies (certified from the county courthouse) of all prior divorce decrees.

3. evolution of relationship letter

4. Silly me - I can't remember about the USC's birth certificate for GUZ IV at all, for a K-1, on interview day.

5. photos of the two of you together (she might already have these)

If you'd like some speed on P3 processing, have a read? http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/GUZ_P3_Shortcut

We got our NOA2 on May 13, 2010. So, I'm in a rush to get information gathered to send to her ASAP. However, I have some reservations about as to when I should start. For example, will my banking info be considered "stale" by the time the interview is conducted? Also, I plan on sending her the following... Please tell me if I'm on the right track.

1. Copy of original I-129F packaged that was sent out.

2. Copy of NOA2 letter.

3. I-134 with 3 years of tax/income data (IRS Transcripts).

4. Bank account history.

5. Letter from employer.

6. Letter of intent to marry (updated)

7. Eveolution of relationship letter.

8. Proof of on-going relationship. Includes photos, passport visa stamps (scanned and printed), calling card CDR list, e-mail, and skype chat logs.

8. Certified Copy of Birth Certificate (Long/Full size).

Do I need to also provide proof of residency letter (I live in a single bedroom apartment)?

Most importantly, which of the aboved mentioned should I get notarized?

BTW, Packet 3 and 4 is intended to be filled out by the beneficiary (my fiancee in China). Any action items needed by me state-side that requires mailing out to her?

re: when to send to China. IMO - when DOS HOTLINE tells you that the Packet 3 was sent to her (Call DOS once a week, inquire for casefile status)

----

if yer not going to China to be there during interview week, then suggest to notarize the EOR in the USA. It's not required to be notarized by interview day, but ....

I would like to suggest Pay Stubs if you have them from your employer. They are a far better proof of current employment than a letter from the employer.

Also, if you can handle the cost, you can FedEx your latest three or four paystubs to your fiancee about 10 days before the interview, but it is about US $57. That will make your income information "current."

Yes, it is a good idea to provide the birth certificate as most Consulates do want them for the USC as part of Packet 3.

Good luck.

Does the letter of employment need to be notarized, or will the CEO's signature be enough?

it doesn't need to be notarized, only signed by your boss or HR
