hello i just wanna ask hows ur experience during the interview with their fiancee, thanks for sharing, take care,God bless

When I went I had no problems at all being by her side when we were called to the initial window for the pre-screener. When we were called to the desk I had no problems at all either. I was told on the phone when I scheduled interview that I would need to "ask permission" to be with her at the interviewer's desk but I had no problems at all.

I pre-loaded our I-129F which much evidence when I originally submitted it.

Our interview went like this..

When called to the pre-screener window with her beside me, the lady talked direct to her in english, she asked simple questions like: what is your fiancee's name ? Where does he live ? what is his birthdate ? when and where did you first meet ? How many times has he visited you personally ? questions like that. Time at this window was 5 minutes or less.

She asked for our evidence of support packet, my W2 Tax Records from employeer, photos of us and that's about it. She put them in a folder and said we should wait for our number to be called again.

Once our number was called we went into the interview desk room, which is a small room with aa glass booth window with the interviewer behind it.

The interviewer asked us maybe 4-5 very simple questions about the same as the pre-screener. Looked at a few papers in our file and said we were approved and welcome to the USA.

I really made an effort to prepare a lot of evidence which I submitted with my original I-129F. I think it helped us. I tried to make everything in our folder as neat and organized as possible with labels and tabs on everything. I followed the advice of the guides here and I also paid a service to review my original folder right before I submitted it. Some people might say this is not needed. It made sense for me to do it because of the importance of this to us and not wanting any delays in our process.

He did give me some helpful advice to change some things and make my folder more presentable as well as check for anything missing or incorrect. When I filed my I-129F I did with his suggestions. If you want to know the name of the service you can PM me. I'm not sure if posting links to services is allowed here.

One note about our interview, we made a few mistakes during our interview. When the pre-screener asked what month we met she said her birthday month, not the month when we met. Since I was by her side I corrected her and the pre-screener wrote down the correct month. Also, I was a bit toungue tied during our interview. I think the screeners realize people might be a little nervous. I had one mistake on a form that the screener caught and asked me to correct. Everything else in our interview process was real smooth. It wasn't hard. The only thing really difficult was the waiting time for our number to be called and just having some anxiety that we did everything correct. :)

I concur with lbounds. I went simply as moral support for my fiance,I'm sure she would have passed without me. As far as getting into the embassy with her, it was easy. All they did was ask to see my passport when we were standing in line outside the building. Once we got inside it reminded me very much of going to the DMV or any other govt office in the states (very buracratic) except that all the workers were filipino, except the CO, who we didnt see until almost the end. As long as you bring all the necessary paperwork and are patient (because of all the waiting)it is not difficult at all, it's just like renewing your driver's license :D . The actual interview with the CO was probably the easiest part because he was very nice and didn't have many questions. For more details you can check my embassy review on my timeline. Good Luck!

It seems to me that if the U.S. petitioner goes to the interview, there's not much questions asked by the CO.

I went to the embassy on April 8 for my K1 interview. The CO initially told me that he could not give me a visa for the reason that I don't have adequate financial support. To give you a background of my story, my fiance wrote off his business loss in his 2009 tax return so that was the reason his gross net income was so low. He has ongoing current income though more than enough to support us.The disposition of my case with the CO was set by the embassy. My fiance and I went to the embassy on the date set.We were so surprised when the CO didn't ask anything about his finances. He just asked us if we were ready to get married with in 90 days and we were given the Pink Slip.
