:star: Hello everyone!

We received NOA2 on August 3rd. I checked with the NVC this morning and they have not received it yet, but I expect they will today or tomorrow. From what I've read, it should be on its way to the Embassy in Manila by the end of this week.

What I would like to get a better gauge on is how long it is going to take once it gets to Manila. As I understand it, she will get a package (Packet 4) with several documents to fill out, she'll have to get her medical at Luke's, get her NBI clearance, and pick up her police record. Then, she will take all that good stuff with her to the interview. But, from what I've read, its the wait for the interview that causes the delay and the interview scheduling seems to vary. According to my research, this delay might be 4 mos, 6 mos, 8 mos or more. But, I noticed at least one recent case (fellow VJ'er, can't remember the ID) got one just 3 mos out!

So here's the question: Would those of you who have received an interview date within the last 90 days please post your timeline here so that we can all get a feel for how far out they are currently scheduling the interviews at the Manila Embassy?

Here are some recent timelines I pulled from another thread:

05-25-06 08-08-06 Brittaniquec

06-30-06 10-05-06 kevlar_kev

These numbers suggest that interviews are currently being scheduled anywhere from 2 months to 5 months out, with the average being a little over 4 months. I don't want to get my hopes up, but if we can build a good list here, maybe we can confirm that they are moving a little faster in Manila (4 months vs 6 or 7 months).

From all the timelines I've noticed here on VJ about 4 months seems to be the norm from when NVC ships the file to Manila.

That would be so nice. We are still holding some small hope that we will be together here in the states for Christmas. Need that NOA2 first though. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks.

You could take a look at the cases that have been scheduled for interviews this month and compare them to your case number, that might give you a clue as to how long it will take them to work to your case

Someone just e-mailed me that they received NOA2 on 5/25/06 and had their interview yesterday! That's just 2 months and 2 weeks! I suspect, however, that was just good timing for them with everyone getting bottlenecked with IMBRA.

Thanks for the post about the other thread...good stuff!

Hi Dean and Sheryl,

We have approx the same date of RFE mail out and CSC receipt. Wow, two Filipina ladies waiting and hoping to be together for Christmas. Hope to get some good news by mid-August and beat the 2006 deadline!

Am praying for good news, maybe a Christmas gift from the embassy.

Congratulations, the hard part is over now that USCIS is done processing, and having a firm interview date makes the waiting process so much easier. As you can see from my timeline, our interview was scheduled 13 weeks after our NOA2, which is about typical as of late according to recent timelines. Hopefully, they can get you in there a bit sooner, October doesnt seem out of the realm of possibility.

Does anyone know if this URL address is always going to be the same? The file does not have the september interview dates and I am fairly sure that I have read elsewhere that they have a late september interview date. I am trying to get a feel for when our interview might be.
