So I gave the I-134 to my fiancee and the necessary evidence. My stepfather is going to be a co-sponsor so my fiancee has all of that stuff too. His income should be enough so I don't think that would cause problems. However, on the form that my stepfather filled out, he made a few mistakes and used white-out to correct it. Would this cause the embassy to reject that form?

That became a worry for us so I had my stepfather do another form and I sent it to my fiancee but I don't know if it will make it to her on time (her interview is Monday and I sent it with Global Express Mail so it should get there but who knows?). If it doesn't make it and I faxed the embassy a copy of my stepfather's new I134 (the only thing that's change on it is the white out places) do you think the embassy would accept it? Or does it have to be the original form?

And finally, this has been debated much and I just ask to hear everyone's opinions again, what should you mark on question 11? We put N/A K-1 Visa process for permanent residence.

Thanks and please let me know!

The only way to be certain is to have someone that has gone through the Japanese Embassy answer these questions.

In general, striking out, crossing out or whiting out on the forms is not acceptable.

I do not know about the fax. Is there anyway you can get your fiancee to email or call the Embassy to ask. Normally they want to see an Original I-134 with an original signature. This is where having someone that went through Tokyo would be helpful.

The best answer for Question 11 would be "I intend" and then make broad general statements rather than specific amounts and time frames. I honestly believe they cannot issue a 221g for that. A posting yesterday from the Philippines said they got a 221g for just the N/A answer because the did not check either of the two answers.

I think VJ needs to change that example form.

Nothing I wrote precludes your fiancee from being approved.

Good luck.

It doesn't matter what we think. You've done all you could. Now you wait and see. I've never seen a problem with white-out or strike-through reported in the immigration process but there could always be a first time. Sure see lots of folks fretting about it though.
