So, how do you know when your petition has left the NVC? I received a letter saying it had arrived. Do they send you another letter to say it's been sent to the embassy? Just curious...

11/10/09 - K1 NOA1 date
4/22/10 - NOA2 mailed
7/21/10 - interview
8/27/10 - arrival in US
9/4/10 - wedding
10/2/10 - sent off AoS pack
12/27/10 - GC interview (approved)
10/09/12 - mailed application I-751
10/11/12 - NOA for I-175

4/23/13 - I-175 approved

Call the dept of state, they will tell you if it has left to the embassy and will give you your case#, then you can go download package 3 and get on with it! See our vj databases for the links.

Good luck!

They're supposed to send a letter but the easiest is to just call the NVC: 603-334-0700 You may have to call numerous times to get through. When you do, press 2, then 1, then 5 to get a human. Give them your case number, beneficiary name and birthday, ditto for you and then ask them if the package is on the way to the embassy yet.

Good luck! I just got the good news myself yesterday! :D

Hmmm, we only received one letter from the NVC - it said they have forwarded the petition to the designated consulate. Is it possible that you have misread it?

You can call the NVC and ask - they were very polite (very suprising!) when we called back in Sept 09.
