K3 or CR--1?

Hello,

I am new to this and my finace(US) and I are trying to decide if we should go with the CR-1 or the K3.

Our actual weding is not until August 2011 in the Bahamas, but we are considering getting the marriage cerificate

in AUgust this year on a visit here(bahamas) so we can start the proceedings for the CR-1..

Any advice would be great

I am not quite sure what you are trying to get out of this new post. The K3 is being fazed out, therefore no one would suggest that this would be the route for you to go. Also in the previous post you distinctly stated that you want to be able to work upon entry into the US. Well, the guide post above breaks it down that a K3 would not give you that ability. The route of the CR1 offers you the GC upon entry into the US. So again, I am asking what is the question you are asking with this new post.

Thanks for your reply, as I mentioned we are new to this and just exploring all options, so forgive me if I am asking the wrong questions.

Again the most important thing is that I don't have to go to the US and sit around waiting for a visa for 6-7 months. I would prefer to

continue working in my country while waiting for the visa to be processed.

Then get married everywhere in the world that you wish,then the USC can petition for the CR1 visa.
