Songbird-your case is way out of the processing times! From my experience I have to tell you that when you do a EAD renewal you are NOT supposed to get another biometric appointment if you file for it on time-3 months before the initial EAD expires. It seems like you filed for a renewal after your first EAD expired, therefore your fingerprints that you have taken a long time ago are expired as well and they can not be used. That probably generated the filing fee that you were required to pay.

Due to your current situation-I would advicee you to do not travel on the AP document. Schedule infopasses, contact your local senator, do everything possible to get a AOS decision. Did you change your address with USCIS when you moved? If not-change it online and fill out the AR-11 form NOW.

Good luck!

Thank you Juliava for sharing with me your opinions. It helps. I am thinking that aside from requesting for an infopass appointment, that I would also send VSC regarding my application. I have thought of doing that hoping that would make do something about it. I am not sure if they will even read my letter. But they might. As for requesting a local senator/congressman to help me with it, how can I actually ask them? I don't know any of them personally, and I just don't have an idea on how to do it. Any suggestion?

To contact your representative google senator+ state name or congressman+state name

You'll get their web page where there is a form (online) to fill out to get in touch with them. Look under constituent services and immigration cases will also be listed. You don't have to know them personally, they are elected representatives who represent all people in that state.

Here's an example as I work in IL: http://www.govtrack.us/congress/findyourreps.xpd?state=IL

I then picked Senator Durbin and went to his official webpage: http://durbin.senate.gov/

Then I picked whatever sounded close to what you need - casework - and it gave me this info:

http://durbin.senate.gov/guidelines.cfm - it gives a privacy act release form that one needs to fill before they can represent you before a Federal agency (USCIS is one of them).

You're then assigned a case worker - usually an immigration aide who is your liaison between USCIS - they get a lot more information than if you were to call the mis-information line.

You just look up congressional reps by your zip code.

Best of luck!

Songbird- Milimelo is right. I didn't know personally any senator, but I used google and found one. Believe me, these people will inquire about your case. Good luck!
