If my parents file a joint tax return, but one on there own makes enough money to cover the requirements of the AOS form, Do i still need to have all household members sign the form or can i just use the one person ? Do both parents have to fill out the form or just the one that makes the highest income ?

There's only one joint sponsor unless your parents are part of YOUR household, so just one signs and they state only their individual income.

Pushbrk is absolutely correct. Only one is necessary. My wife and I just got approved for IR1 today and we had to use a joint sponsor as well. Although they are married and filed jointly, only one I 864 was needed.

Thank you but it is not simply that only one is necessary. Only one is allowed unless part of the petitioner's household.

Thank you all for you answers. We all do live together for now. (That will change right before my husband gets here.) Do I still just need my dad to fill out the I-864A?

Excellent question. If your dad qualifies as and individual to sponsor, I would go the I-864 route. You and dad each complete your own I-864 with supporting documentation.
