Just got a notice in the mail that we have to have an interview on June 3rd. Im not real sure if this

is a good thing, Ive heard that its usually because they dont believe the marriage is bonifide. I am

concerned about income, I think we get just a little above what we need, but my husbands hours always

change. Is there any advice anyone can give me on what to expect or what to make sure that we have?

Just nervous and paranoid.

I don't think not/getting an interview depends on the validity of your marriage. Those cases that are transferred, processed without interviews are for those whose local USCIS have backlogs.

The USCIS Seattle office seems not to be backlogged at this time. This is the main reason why we didn't get transferred to CSC, and are scheduled for interview.

Make sure you have everything that is listed on your interview letter. And you should be fine.

As long as you have your documentation that states your husband makes the correct amount of money, you are fine. Fluctuations don't matter as long as you have your tax transcripts and whatever else you sent it to prove your income meets the requirements. It's pretty cut and dry.

Like Markie said, getting an interview is not a bad sign. Make sure you have everything required plus anything that really demonstrates you have a real relationship. I'd say the best things to show are joint financial accounts, photos from special events/vacations, lease/mortage agreements, and birth certificates of any children.

Good luck!

As Markie said, it has a lot to do with your local offices, how busy they are, and what area of the country you live. For example, Californians very rarely get transferred, and its not due to anything we have done. You will be fine, just breathe :D Bring all the documents you can and things will go smoothly. Getting an interview isn't a bad thing, getting called back for a second interview though usually means they are going to grill you harder on your relationship.

Thank you all for your replies and words of encouragement. I always get scared at all the new stages

of this process. I know that we make just above the amount that we need to and that we have enough proof

that we have a real marriage, but I'm still nervous.Thank you all again.
