Wow! I had lots of stuff like u, (well not that much) and the CO didn´t ask me for ANYTHING!! I had a very nice scrapbook and a very beautiful photobook, designed be me, lol. It would be great if the nice CO girl asked me for something, I was totally prepared! but ... nothing. Well things were so good and it really helped the fact my hubby was there with me.

Anyway I know everything will be fine, u will get your visa but I´m sure u won´t be able to avoid those butterflies in stomach the day or night before.

Good luck and keep us updated!

Take care.

Sachinky your list is perfect

Does the petitioner need to send cards n letters to beneficiary for interview? Or are the only

going to accept the beneficiary's evidence?

I don't think it matters. Whether the beneficiary's or the petitioner's it's still evidence of a bonafide relationship, I'd think.

yes.gifyes.gif Sach~

You definitely have all areas covered. What I did was take 2 of the expandable folders and not had the packets stapled so if they did ask for a certain document I could take it out and slide it under the glass. At the embassy in Cairo, they talk to you through a microphone which made it kind of hard to hear them.

I had 1 briefcase and 1 over the shoulder book bag full to the brim of documents and evidence and all they wanted to see was my original divorce decree from my first marriage!!!!headbonk.gifheadbonk.gif

Yes, it better to be OVER prepared!!!good.gif

Thanks for the tips. I gotta buy more folders, I think. :star:

Sachinky when you say 11 affidavits, what do you actually have from those relatives? I am still far away from the interview process but I like the list you have and would like to have the same when my wife's interview comes along.

Thanks.

These are basically signed affidavits stating who they are, how do they know us, personal knowledge of our relationship as a couple, any interaction they'd had with us, swearing to the bonafide legitimate relationship that we have.

Good luck on your visa journey!

Just in case you were wondering, it DID require an entire suitcase. Had about 8 thick folders.

CO didn't ask to see ONE damn thing. Not even after I offered to show her our wedding pictures and phonebills.

Hello Sachinky, Congrats again and welcome home to the USA!!

I'm preparing for my hubby's interview in less than 3 weeks also...how do you print out the Skype log? The problem with me is I use skype to call my hubby in Hong Kong through my cell phone. So on the skype website, I"m able to see the call history, but if I just print the page out, it wouldn't show my name or login name at all, just the phone number I dialed; if I export the call history to an Excel file, it still won't have any names on it. Will that be okay as evidence? Any suggestion?

Also, for video MSN, there's no date/time on them...should I still print them out as evidence?

Thanks!

Talking about evidence to show to the CO, i am starting to assemble my own package, though our case is still at NVC.My husband lived with me for 5 years in my native country, and he left back to the US in March 2009.As you may assume i have a bunch of stuff gathered for so many years. My question is, should i gather more evidence from the time he has left my country, to show we still had an outgoing relationship, plus some stuff from our 5 years together, or should i just bring everything that shows our relationship since we met ??

Raluca, I have not gone through this process, so please note that. With that said, I would think they want you to provide evidence of an ongoing relationship. It helps to bring pictures from throughout the years showing how your relationship has progressed, but I would also see them wanting to make sure that the relationship has continued after his departure. Good luck!!
