Now that I'm here,I'd like to know what to do to get a California driver licence.I have one from Canada.

So do I have to take the written exam as well as the road exam?

Is there a website that I can study for multiple choice written exam?

I'm sure it's been asked million times,but I would appriciate for any info.

Hi!

I went for my CA drivers license back in January. You have to take both the written AND road test. For the written test, I recommend listening to the podcasts of the Drivers Handbook that are on the DMV website. I did that, and I got perfect on the written test!

how was ur experience with road test?should i be worried about it?should i practice for it? I was driving in Toronto almost everyday.I'm not sure what they look for in here during the road exam..

Hi there, the driving test is pretty easy, they let you use your car (in Italy for example you use the driving school car). They ask you how to turn on the lights and the indicators (make sure all your lights are working or they won't let you take the test) then you go for a quick drive, it'a piece of cake:)

I got mine in LA back when I was on a J1 visa and I had no problems at all. The DMV website also has written tests you can take online!
