Finacial Aid for student

Hey,

Firstly, I desrcibe my situation :

I'm married. I and my Wife study at community college, after that we would like transfer to University. We are independent student. We are full time students and I and my Wife have only part time job, so we don't have enough money to pay for University .

Can we get financial Aid ?

Please help.

Everyone can get some sort of financial aid as long as you have a valid green card or is a US citizen.

Perhaps why universities are so helpful in getting student visas, they want cold hard cash up front.

You can get grants in undergrad which is free money you never have to pay back....While I was doing my undergrad the tuition was roughly $4000-$4500 per semester excluding books....Each semester the grant would cut tuition by 50%........So all that needed to be paid was the remaining half and you can get a student loan through your school to cover the rest...

My chinese wife and I were paying her bill at a community college and a black girl told us minorities go for free here in NY state. She was paying nothing for school. Wife was only taking one class for about $500 total so we did not inquire about this information .Maybe other states are different.Talk to the school and they can offer help.
