In our household, 5000 pesos is enough to pay our phone and DSL bills and salary of our maid. For me, 5000 pesos is not alot of money but it can pay some of our bills.

It sounds like you have alot of money, Im just talking about my wife living alone in an apartment she would just need money for food, occasional trips to the internet cafe and things like that right now she doesnt have a job and shes with a friend, so based on her is 5000 alot? and what would like 10,000 be like? I want to be able to send as much as I can to her.

why don't you ask your wife? cost of living in any place depends a lot on a person's lifestyle, what could be enough for someone might not be enough for another.

but for me personally, Php 5,000 is not a lot if I'm in the Philippines.

If you want her to live comfortably then send as much as you can without you ending up in debt.

P5000 could be a lot of money to some but not to others. it depends to the lifestyle of a person and where she lives. cost of living especially in manila is high. if she lives in a far flung province, maybe 5,000 is enough for her basic needs.

so 5000 may be enought to get by if you have the lifestyle my wife has wich is just basic nothing really extra, but how is 10,000? 5000 more i want to try and send about 10,000 every 2 weeks unless i have the money to send more that week.

10,000 a month (5000 every 2 weeks) for one person is normally enough..it depends on the lifestyle and where exactly she lives. My wife has 2 apartments that she rents out for 2500 pesos a month. Now if your girl has aircon and stuff like that in her apartment..that is where the cost of living goes up...my wife's last electric bill was almost 4000 pesos and she dont run the aircon all the time...just mid day when it gets really hot and in the evening when she lays down to sleep..she puts it on a timer and it turns off like 4-5 hours later. You have to figure that the average salary for a filipino is probably $3-400 a month at the high end. (at least in my experience and what I have seen) Of course that depends on what they do for a living too. I would just be careful on how much you send if she cant manage money good.

Well, you didn't actually specified what you really are asking on your first post. I thought what you meant by Php5,000 is Php5,000 a month. If you are planning of sending her Php5,000 biweekly then I guess that is enough for her. But like what other says, it really depends on the lifestyle and where the person lives. If what you meant by "she is with a friend" is that she lives in an apartment with a friend who shares house rent then Php10,000 is really enough :)
