I have already asked this, but i'm somewhat confused. CAN I TRAVEL TO SEE MY GIRL IN THE US WHILE MY K1 VISA IS GOING THROUGH, WE ARE READY TO SEND PACKET 3 AND I HAVE MY MEDICAL DATE IN LONDON.

I CAN TAKE A LETTER FROM MY EMPLOYER THAT I SHALL BE RETURNING TO THE UK. I PLAN ON STAYING 5 DAYS ONLY.

Cheers

Yes, you can, but it is upto the immigration officer at POE as to whether you will be allowed into the US.

Take evidence with you that you have intent to return to the UK - a letter from your employer is good to start with, recent mortgage statement, return plane ticket and anything else that ties you to the UK. Also a copy of the NOA2 & Embassy packet 3 letter to show you are applying for a K1, shows you're not trying to hide anything.

Cheers Guys

Hi All,

Well just got back from Chicago, spent 6 great days with my fiancee.

Had no problems at O'Hare Airport, even though i had a letter from my employer, morgage statements etc, as suggested on here. The POE guard just asked the same as always and said " Have a great stay" and waived me through. HAPPY DAYS !!!!

Thanks for all your answers

Warren

I visited my fiance in Atlanta in April also no probs, had emplyer letter etc just in case, and also took my engagement ring off to avoid questions and said i was ataying with friends. I am visiting again next week fingers crossed all will be ok again!!! It makes me laugh that we are supposed to provide 'evidence of relationship' by plane tickets etc, but yet we all panic about visiting and getting through POE! Sometimes the officers are so poker face and hostile, other times they can be great fun to talk to! They actually made my friend cry once!
