hi everybody

just need some input. my spouse is on ap. will my not visiting india after marriage for almost 18 months will have any effect on proof of relationship?you think that could be the reason for ap ? before marriage i had applied for fiancee visa which was denied. but between my engagement and marriage period i visited my wife for 6 times in 12 months. is that good for proof? after marriage i could not go coz of my business situation. they did ask my wife about my visits to india after marriage, during her interview. i also send them proof of filing income tax together although they dint ask for it. i would please like some input from you all as my spouse is on ap and all these thoughts are causing stress and anxiety. also my wife is 22 yrs younger than me. will that put a red flag. any input will be appreciated

visiting your spouse after marriage is a crucial part of proof, and 22 years difference is also not very common in India,

but gather all the proofs you have, and you should be fine.

and as far as AP goes, it is too broad. It might me internal documents verification to simple name check, but a lot of people are getting AP in India, so its not anything unusual.

thanks for the input RB. i did submit all the proofs they asked for. affidavit from me, my wife, her parents and her voters list. my passport copies with the visa stamps , invitation cards , wedding photos ,engagement photos, telephone records . that's what they asked for. after getting those they sent her passport back with letter of mandatory ap. i just not could go back to india because of my business which was too slow and i had no body to take care of it if i went to india. i am owner operated with 2 employees who only speak spanish. i gave them all the proofs they asked for. I even sent additional proofs like catering bills , marriage palace rental bill and affidavits from people who attended marriage.

and i hope visiting her 6 times b4 marriage helps coz i sent them all the photos of us togather visting different places. hope she gets visa soon.

I never retunred home after my wedding and our case was approved but we had a child so that might have helped. Just make sure to submit lots of cards, letter, phone conversations. Lots of proof.
