DS-160 online, what the heck?

I am trying to help my Fiancee (K1 holder) to fill out the DS-160 online so her parents, sister and brother-in-law can come to the US for our wedding on B2. Everything is going great until I get to a page on the second person's application asking about middle school and high schools attended. I don't remember seeing this for the first application I did so I saved the application and pulled up the save file of the first application. Sure enough there are no middle and high school questions. Then I go back to the second application I was working on (from saved file) and now there is no middle school or high school questions on there either. WTH.

Will this information not being provided because it is not available to be answered on the website cause any problems? Has anyone run into this?

Thanks.

About two months ago there was an open forum online with GUZ regarding the new DS-160. You can check the site and see if it is still archived. Your answer might be there. Since that just rolled out in March, most folks on here won't have much experience. You are probably the trailblazer. Good luck!

it's a bit 'beta' still, even after the rollout. Canada was the 'alpha site' for this thing, there were glitches even then.

Keep trying 'at it' - until yer able to 'submit' the form.

Good Luck !

My Chun got her P4 packet last week and it came with the old DS 156 form. So maybe the online one is still buggy.

Good Luck

Just to be clear, he is applying for B2 for parents, not the K1. His fiancee is approved and finished until AOS. The DS156 is still being used for K1 visas, not the DS160.

Well, here's some more fluff about the DS-160.

It's a DYNAMIC FORM, specifically catered to the visa type AND the person applying.

Here's a nice blurb about it from the Consul General in BeiJing -

To be clear(er) - it's NOT for I-129F petitions or I-130 petitions, at all.
