Can the US embassy verify if i am currently working or not since my AOS has been approved since september 2009 and currently i am jobless and wife is about to go to interview april 28 2010

please advice

Suggest you get a co-sponser, and have them give you some version of the I-864.

You might want to supply an updated I-864 on yerself, as well, showing this 'no income' status.

Then - have the I-864 sent to your foreign spouse - he/she needs it on interview day, to give to a VO, during the interview.

NVC checks the I-864 you submitted to them, for completeness, but the income amounts are vetted on interview day at the embassy.

Since you've had a severe change of income, suggest you get those 2 I-864s prepped and out the door.
