I'm trying to figure out question 20 of the I-129F, "Your fiancé(e) will apply for a visa abroad at the American embassy or consulate at:"

Originally I put Toronto based on consulate districts but I saw something that said only Montreal and Vancouver process K1s. I can't seem to find anything official. Can someone let me know which is correct or point me to some information?

Thanks in advance :)

Hey there fellow Canadian filer,

Montreal and Vancouver are your two choices. They are the only ones that deal with the k1 :)

If you originally put Toronto, I guess you're from the East? So Montreal will be your consulate. Vancouver and Montreal are the only 2 that process K-1 visas.

However, we put Toronto (we hadnt found VJ yet) and they corrected it for us and sent it to Montreal.

Good luck.

Yes, only the Consulates in Montreal and Vancouver process K-1 visas. If you live in Manitoba and west, your file is sent to Vancouver; if you live east of Manitoba, your file is sent to Montreal. If you did inadvertently put a Consulate that doesn't process the visa down, they will correct it and send it to the appropriate Consulate.
