I just called USCIS in Seoul about the status of our 212/I-129F from Japan and they informed me that they are still waiting on an 'A File' from the US before they can make their decision. They have been waiting on this paperwork for over a month and I am curious what it is. Does anyone know? Who can I call in the US to check on it? They said they would have a decision a month ago, but now they are held up by this paperwork, so any info is welcome.

It's your immigration file, and it's common for them to need it before making a waiver decision. I don't believe there is anyone you can call to check on it's status, and you'll just have to wait for it to arrive in seoul. I could be wrong on that one though. I know that some others have been in a similar situation and a decision was made on their case after a couple months.
