Hello everyone. I just returned from the Philippines and am ready to begin collecting everything for our application packet. The problem is I am too overwhelmed with all that is needed. Is there someone out there that could work closely with me to be sure I have everything that I need to have and have it all completed correctly? I really need help with this. My fiance and I are anxious to get our application sent in. Thank you so much in advance for your help.

Hey Steve,

Take things one step at a time and it wont be to overwhelming. The I129F petition to the USCIS is quite basic.

You'll want to start with the form I129F and G325A.

Go to the USCIS website and click on forms. Scroll down through until you find the I129F, then download it and the instructions. Do the same with the G325A. You will fill out a G325A (biographic information for you and your fiancee).

These forms are saveable on the pc so you can work on them and save them, print them, review them, go back and make corrections etc...

Start out with that and then continue to build. You'll need to create a Letter of Intent to Marry for each of you. There are samples here on VJ. You'll want to gather up the proof that you have met within the past 2 years, boarding passes, pictures, etc.

Read the K1 guide and start working on some of the documents. As you come across questions, drop in and you'll get help and guidance!

Good Luck on your journey!

You came to the right place! I too felt overwhelmed when I decided to do the K-1 myself. This site has all the guides and info you need to get it done. Just take it one section at a time and the more you read the more comfortable it will all seem. The people here are great at answering questions but go over the guides first and alot of your basic questions will be answered there. Good luck
