Hey guys, so finally the time is here and I'm always so calm until the last minute. I'm also really unprepared as I only realised it was March 1st this morning after getting my bus ticket! I thought I had ages. Anyway, I have no copies so a mad dash tomorrow for my husband to Office Depot, I only pray he does everything right.

-Since I sent off my AOS stuff and had an RFE, my husband is no longer at the job on the forms. He works freelance and he is my sponsor. He still makes enough money but we have no employment letter anymore. I plan to copy all his invoices etc but will this be an issue? Do I need to bring in the original I-864 as well?

-I never got an I-693 from a civil surgeon but I only assume it went in from my London medical in the sealed envelope. This has been a mystery to me ever since. I have a photocopy of my vaccines from my local doctor back home so will this be ok?

-Do I REALLY need to bring all the forms I filled out for the AOS?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys XXX

You don't need copies of everything that you already submitted ( like the forms I -485, I765 or I864). You need to have the originals of whatever documents you submitted only copies like passport I-94, marriage certificate, birth certificates for you and husband and the documents proving your relationship.

You can take pay stubs / copies of statements showing his income from the time he has freelanced and explain that at the interview. You can take copies of the tax returns and any proof of income you can think of.

You don't need copies of medical since they already have that. They only ask for originals of documents that you submitted( some of them since you are not supposed to have copies of your medical)

You need to organise your documents in a way that it would be easy for you to access during the interview. Get a folder with to sides in one side put the originals and in the other the copies of the same documents . Make labels in fromt of each folder and write whatever it is in there like lease/mortgage, phone bill or bank account checking/saving /credit cards or whatever bills you may have or marriage birth certificates ,his proof of citizenship or proof of assets.

Hope this helps and good luck to the interview!
