copy of our iteniary and passport stamps from our trip to Philippines in december 09

copy of a water bill in joint name

copy of our old homeowners insurance papers showing our house address and joint names

copy of our joint credit card account

copy of our joing bank account

photos of us together

of course the payment, passport pics, etc that they need

need to know...we want to get 2 affadavits from people saying they know us and we are a married couple. what should the document say??? must it be notarized? is there a standard form for this from USCIS? or do I just write it myself?

There are some nice examples on the VJ site:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;page=examples

I tailored mine to be be a little less formal myself. My mother in law wrote a nice letter on her own that covered the basics (when she met me, how we visit eachother often etc...)

They do not need to be notarized.

Wiz(USC) and Udella(Cdn & USC!)

a few additional suggestions:

health insurance

401k plans showing the spouse as the beneficiary

other utility bills if available

cellphone bills showing family plan

some comments:

Make sure if you are sending in the tax copies, to send in all pages and copies of W-2's.

Also, this is not a must to include, but I suggest a simple cover page explaining the evidence provided.

Overall, your evidence looks good.

good luck!

if it's an affidavit, it has to be notarized. otherwise, it's just statements w/c are also ok.

what it should say basically is that those persons have known you and your wife to be a happy couple who's got it going well, that's all (with a little bit of elaboration of course).

notarizing it makes it a legal doc. :)
