So when emailing the I-864 and DS-230 is it also emailed to NVCElectronic@state.gov ?

Except for emailing choice of agent using the template, no electronic processing means you'll be sending papers by mail or courier, not by email. You may email inquiries, not documents. No electronic processing also means you never use the email address, nvcelectronic@state.gov as that is for "electronic processing" which is NOT AVAILABLE for Singapore. Pedantic enough for you? :bonk:

Dan - for certain clarification on 'which email address to use' - always check the Embassy-Specific Bulletin on Electronic Processing -

GO TO http://travel.state.gov/visa/visa_4411.html select GUZ, and download the PDF document. The most CURRENT INFO is there.

I reviewed http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/nvc_pilot_program_of_electronically_processing_visa_petitions.html

and it did not mention which email address to use.

I am confused about 'all websites say use NVCGuangzhou@state.gov' email address - certainly not THIS website - and there was a notice elsewhere at http://www.chinafamilyvisa.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1441&view=findpost&p=26000 and http://uschinak1.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=37703&view=findpost&p=504896

I'd be interested to know who doesn't have the right 'scoop' on this, really ! (If it's one of my wiki entries or blogspace on CFV, caveat - I've not updated that one in some time)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Thanks for clearing that up. My friend emailed their documents to NVCElectronic 7 days ago and after the confusion I told them to go ahead and email them to NVCGuangzhou yesterday to be safe. :(

I apologize. I had you mixed up with the Singapore poster. nvcelectronic@state.gov is the only email address you need to use in an electronic processing case at this time.

The best indicator, at this point, is to log in to the online payment portal.

WHEN there is a 'sign in fail' screen, is good indicator NVC is moving the casefile along that speedy path to 'appointment date set'.

Hang in there !

Heads up -

http://travel.state.gov/visa/visa_4411.html

Some summer intern apparently REMOVED THE 'GUZ P3 supplemental form' entry.

It's still required. Please don't omit it, you WILL get dinged in a 'checklist letter response' from NVC, slowing down yer case.

re: Welcome to China ! Hey ! When you get into NVC processing, you qualify for NVC Electronic Processing - it cuts 2 to 5 months off the 'dead zone time' between 'NVC OUT' and 'GUZ opens the casefile' - see http://www.visajourn...onic_Processing - she'll need to send you scans of the 'white books' , a scan of a complete DS-230, and you handle the I-864.

Darnell, I copied this post of yours off the Newbie Thread.Hopefully I can Electronically Process a K-1 at Guangzhou, China. What is the White books mentioned above? Is that the book that had her parents and Family info in it. I sent copies of that, along with her DS-230 and copies of my Tax returns with her I-129f application. Do I need to get all of those emailed to me, to resubmitt them,Or will they accept the ones I already sent in?My Fiance had a woman prepare papers for her in China, and she said I was suppose to mail all of them in. Thanks for your knowledge and advise. Bill

Hey - any K-1 visa does NOT do NVC Electronic Processing -

There is 'packet 3' to be done in China, though, for a K-1 visa -

You can 'roughly compare' packet 3 in China for a K-1 visa, to the NVC Processing for any CR-1/IR-1 visa.

It's not the same thing, technically, as the visa types are different, the document-gathering/submission 'stuff' is different, and even the forms are different. The only thing that's similar, is the inclusion of the DS-230 and white books. For a CR-1/IR-1 - DS-230 and white books are gathered up at NVC. For a K-1 visa, DS-230 and white books are gathered up at the GUZ IV Unit, in 2 seperate steps, in China.

Suggest you review the GUZ IV forms and packets web page, over at http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/forms_and_packets.htm - and at least review the OF-169 - it outlines the process of 'stuff' for the K-1 .

Darnell, Thanks for the response. So that means I cann't avoid the 3 months that my Visa Application will have to spend in Chinese Customs Hold, I guess. I was hoping to get her here this year, not next year. So did I screw up by sending in all my Fiances papers when I applied for the I129f. I sent in copies of her birth certificate, police record(or lack there of)her pictures, my pictures, my tax returns, our 325a's and so on.I did this in 1994 and it was a lot easier. My ex-wife was here in less time than I have waited for my NOA2. Thanks for your advise, Bill

I need help... I want to opt in for the electronic processing for Guangzhou but my attorney does not know how to do it. When I call to ask her about it, she tells me to wait until NVC sends us the paper stuff first... My I130 was just approved on Nov 10th and I been waiting since then. Would there be a way for me to opt in first? Where do I get the proper electronic DS 2030 form? And do I still put my address down for my husband's alternate contact or should I put the lawyer's address down? I am confused...

Thanks,

Anna
